why do things have to be so complicated? I don't work- getting insurance through my husband's work would be like paying a mortgage payment. So. We buy our own insurance for myself and my son. But its not doing diddly squat for me and what I need. I have prescription coverage on my plan, the ins. co. is supposed to cover 50%. Yeah that sucks when your prescription at full price is $500 USD. So why, when I try to get it filled the insurance won't cover but 3% of it? How does that make sense? I pay my premium, so I expect to receive what I pay for, and that is 50% prescription coverage. And get this, because I have SOME SORT of prescription coverage- I am not qualified for ANY prescription assistance program. SO WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING PAYING FOR FRIGGIN INSURANCE? Having a chronic illness is just like being diagnosed with terminal cancer. You just don't die after six months. Sometimes it feels like that would be the easy way out. But I've got too much to live for. America does hate sick people.
